  • Rigs of Rods is excellent in that the physics are more realistic than any other game or project I've seen. The concept is amazing; allowing vehicles to deform in real-time is quite unique, and thanks to various contributors, the difficulty of creating vehicles has lowered since it became open-source. But the community is immature. Most of the higher-ranked members (some called Invited Members) have an irritatingly huge ego and in the times of them being allowed to "rate" you (there is a system in place which gives and deducts points depending on whether the higher-ranked members (now it's only the moderators and administrators that can rate) think you've done something bad or something good) they'd literally rate you down for having a differing opinion or not agreeing to kneel to their idea that everyone should love them and share their opinion. The normal members are also to blame, for spoiling them. The majority will kiss up to Invited Members and the Administration in the hopes that it will get them a place amongst the aforementioned ranks. Pricorde and Thomas - the main founders of the game - are actually okay, and know how to act friendly, if they're not actually friendly. The game has been overrun with Americans who mostly hate and refuse to make anything European. Although the Invited Members can no longer rate other members down, it still seems as if they can derail threads freely without being told not to. A particular Invited Member, a Washington resident going by the nickname "Donoteat", is a prime example of this. Quite a few times he has derailed threads and caused them to become locked by a moderator, but never is any action taken against him. This childish community has caused many to leave, or simply not join at all.
