• Clearer agent-facing guidance: repren --docs now gives agents and people a more precise comparison with other search, replacement, and renaming tools, including backups, review capabilities, atomic operations, and when each tool is the better fit.
• Practical zero-dependency installation guidance: The versioned installation and agent-facing CLI docs keep the direct-package threat model explicit without distracting cool-off and version-pin examples intended for packages with transitive dependency graphs.

Packaging

• More precise distribution metadata: Repren now declares Python >=3.10,<4.0, advertises its py.typed marker, and ships a deliberately scoped source distribution containing the package, public documentation, and downstream-verifiable tests.
