RC Flyers Toolkit Box (http://rcflyerstoolkit.sf.net)
================================================
Purpose
========
R/C pilots often manage various batteries for their flying equipment trying to manage charge cycles, battery state and more. If you ever tried to quickly spontaneuosly grabbed a battery to go out flying due to the optimal weather conditions you might have come across the situation in which you are asking the question: "Which of these is charged?"
Other questions concern where and when you have been flying last, how much went in your battery compared to the last cycle or what do you have to pack to take with you and which screws do you have to check before firing up the engine and bringing the thing into the air.
If you have frequently asked these questions then this tool is for you.
It manages batteries, flights, charge cycles and check lists. Plus for us rotary wing guys there is a pinion calculator quickly giving you an idea about the RPM to be expected.
And it aims to be cross platform- report your data on-field and exchange it with the data on your desktop at home. On Windows, Linux, Maemo and Harmattan. Planned versions are Symbian, Android and MacOS X.
Feedback is welcome so do not hesitate to report issues or propose improvements. Donations are also welcome- everybody needs some sort of motivation.
Try it out and have fun. May it be useful.

Installation
===========
Installation is straightforward.
On Windows fire up the installer file, follow the instructions and you are ready to go. The installation includes all relevant libraries and plugins necessary.
Under Linux the installation file provided might need to be set as executable before you can run it. Open a console, change to the download directory and apply "chmod +x <installation file name>" with "<installation file name>" being the name of the file under which you have stored it. Your graphical file explorer might also be able to do this by right clicking the file and opening its properties. This depends on the graphical user environment you are running. If in doubt consult the manual. After running the installer follow the instructions and you are ready to go. Unlike the Windows installation the installer does not contain any additional libraries. Make sure you have the Qt libraries installed before installing this tool. Please consult your distribution manual on how to do this. KDE users automatically have it anyway.
For Maemo and Harmattan copy the .deb file to your device and open it by double clicking it. The operating system specific package manager will take care about everything else.
If you have questions or issues please ask them in the forum at http://sourceforge.net/p/rcflyerstoolkit/discussion/ or leave a ticket at http://sourceforge.net/p/rcflyerstoolkit/tickets/
