I was using spreadsheets to control budget for various projects. Due to limitations of using spreadsheets I turned to find an easy to use application with database backend to control budget and costs. I am using Rabio for about a year now and I am ok on how this software is comparing budget and costs for many of my projects. Documentation is good but watching the videos helped me to understand better how to create cost centers and cost categories and set up the comparison of budget and costs. It is easy to install with good documentation on how to do it (very similar to Wordpress installation). I have installed some of the updates and it all runs without a problem. In conclusion it is a good software to use, much better from a spreadsheet when data from budget and costs become big.

I am using the open source version Rabio to control my personnal expenses against my income - budget. I am controlling house expenses, personall expenses and car expenses. I get a clear view of my budget vs expenses. I like the feature of lt fuel per 100km and other categories like service or spare parts where I track distance of kilometers. As for support I got a lot of help on how to operate the software from videos provided in website and youtube channel as well. Documentation for installation is very clear but it could be a little better for instructions on how to use it.

We are using Rabio in our company to control budget and costs. As a software is focused to cost control and reporting. It gives the ability to eliminate excel documents and makes all the data transparent. Some features can be improved. The cost breakdown structure that is used might not be for every organisation. Some changes over this might be needed.
