RTAS 1.0b5 Release RTAS is a small filmmaker solution for managing rental properties. IT helps to keep track of rental income, invoicing and cost tracking system for landlords and small property management companies. I made it because I didn't like any of the other free solutions out there. For more information visit the RTAS Home at: http://tsi.taroko.org/TSI_Home/RTAS.html Three different files are available for each release. 1) The basic .fmp12 file which requires a copy of Filemaker pro 16 or higher to run. 2) A compiled runtime solution for Mac OSX 3) A compiled runtime solution for Windows. The runtime solutions do not require a copy of Filemaker Pro to run. Simply open the .app or .exe file or shortcut. The solution is populated with some sample data which you can delete if you want. New in version 1.0b5: Fixed bugs related to auto invoice generation for units and email sending resulting from removal of SQL and JSON statements. New in version 1.0b4: Fixed a major bug which affected several functions Runtime versions. It seems that Filemaker does not support SQL calls in runtime solutions. The calls were replaced by traditional methods. Thanks to those who reported this problem. New in version 1.0b3: Added drag and drop file upload to all layouts. Moved email send to separate button so that you can now edit the fields. Added Deposit status to Reports. Various bug fixes. New in version 1.0b2: Multi-User RTAS is now set up to handle multiple user accounts. To access RTAS you are now prompted for a username and password. Use one of the following passwords to initially access the system: User: Jane Pass: Sigma2020 User: Dan Pass: Sigma2020 User: Admin Pass: Sigma$2020 As part of the multi-user modifications a User accounts area has been created. Users with administrator rights can set up and manage regular user accounts. Regular user accounts can do everything an admin account can do except access the admin and accounts area. If the "Admin" checkbox is set against the user then that user can manage accounts. Also, The "Admin" account is a full access developer level account. This account can do anything and I recommend that you not use it for regular use but keep it in case of emergency. Web Enabled New in this release are modifications to allow RTAS to run properly under WebDirect. This allows multiple users to access the data via a web browser from any location. To host the file under WebDirect you use the .fmp12 file. Filemaker Server 16 or higher should be used. WebDirect must be enabled and properly configured. It should also work well under Filemaker Cloud Service but I have not tested it. https://www.claris.com/filemaker/ Note that in order for the auto generation of the invoice to work properly the Base Elements plugin must be installed own the Filemaker Server. It is available for free from here: https://baseelementsplugin.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/115002990887 Special thanks to Nicholas Orr! You can test drive a Web hosted RTAS at the RTAS Home: http://tsi.taroko.org/TSI_Home/RTAS.html Hosting Options To host your RTAS database on the web you have three options: 1) Set up your own server with Filemaker WebDirect with on premises or using cloud servers. 2) Use Filemaker Cloud Service 3) Use another Filemaker hosting service such as www.taroko.org RTAS is posted free of charge under a GNU GPL license. Refer to the How To video also posted on the web site If you have any comments, bugs to report or just want to say hi drop us an email at: rtas@taroko.org Thank you for your time Mike
