          ***** QRPSim Contest Simulator *****

This is a CW contest simulator written by Dmitry UR4MCK for RU-QRP Club activities.
QRPSim is a free software and licensed under the terms of GNU GPL v3 (see LICENSE.txt)

It's main purposes are:

 - to promote RU-QRP games;
 - to allow novice operators to train their skills in CW & QRP;
 - to let experienced operators to feel how a real RU-QRP contests looks like;
 - to help contest managers to "debug" contest rules by simulating various scenarios in the background;
 - to have fun on exhibitions and conferences (where on-the-air QSOs are not possible).

QRPSIM HAS NOT TO BE A SUBSTITUTION OF A REAL CW OPERATION ON THE AIR!


SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

 - OS: Windows (tested on Windows XP, Windows 8), Linux (TODO), MacOS (TODO)
 - Display: Vertical resolution with 700 px is minimal by GUI
 - Memory: 25 Mbytes on the disk is required for resources & libraries
 - Audio: Any compatible audio device with 48 kHz sampling rate is required
 - Controls: Mouse + Keyboard. Optional external CW keyer may be used (TODO)


INSTALLATION

 1. Unpack archive with the latest version to any directory on the disk;
 2. Run qrpsim.exe
 3. Read key bindings: "Help ==> Keys help"
 4. Select contest: "Contest ==> Select"
 5. Set up running interval and click "Start!" button
 6. Play and have fun!


UNINSTALL

QRPSim is not using Windows registry or any other system files.
To uninstall it just remove directory with QRPSim from your computer.
All user data and configuration files are stored in the working QRPSim directory.
