Got this as part of a download when I started to learn Python. If found this such an easy to use IDE that I have not looked at anything else. It just has everthing I need an works in the way I would expect.
Now it has the upgrade to 3.4 of Python, I can see me using it for years to come.

I did the update and now the "Available Themes" are missing in the Editor Options. I can not change the background colour of my Editor to black anymore.... seems to be white only which is hard on the eyes..
If someone can help me to why the Themes are no longer there it would be great.
Thank you

My favorite Python IDE. All the features I expect while being fast and lightweight.

I am a beginner and tried a lot of IDEs. PyCharm, VS Code, Thonny etc. I find coding the most enjoyable in PyScripter. It's very lightweight and intuitive to use.

This project is promising, good IDE alternative for Intellij products

Nice development environment, added to my site. Minutes one star for input not asking in the interpreter window, but in the dialog box. Terribly uncomfortable, who ever came up with this?

I just loved this tool after I was very very upset with sluggishness of Microsoft Python Tools (PTVS is the name of their project) in Visual Studio. Say, if I type """ write multiline comment and finish it with """, the what? I wait 5 minutes and Microsoft's IDE still shows the error. OK, while Bill Gates tried to save the World, pandas and all the stuff I installed PyScripter. "Installed"? No, I got zip, (unblocked, but that's of Windows), extracted it, and clicked on PyScripter.exe. And it found a single installed 32 bit version and worked fine. (I wanted that 2.7 version and thought I need to configure something, but it ran 'out-of-box'). (Today I downloaded 64 bit zip and it also started well.) But what's wrong with it? I don't have a clue what "Project" means in PyScripter. The help doesn't tell much. 1 statement per menu item. I can't compare it with Visual Studio, Eclipse, NetBeans because... I simply don't get the idea that of PyScripter. I expect to have one project in one folder (like Flask web app) and another project in other folder...

Excellent IDE for Python. I use it for years. It can handle various versions of Python simultaneously (I have Python 2.6, 2.7 and 3.4) with a parameter in the command line (--PYTHON26 for 2.6). Very practical.

The only Python IDE that is intuitively to use. From the beginner to the specialist: who doesn't want to use Projects, can just load one or more files and run them - who want's to use Projects, can do so. After several trials of other IDEs I'm happy to have this one with the friendly Python!
