pyPIDTune is a free python-based tool for PID controller design and tuning.
pyPIDTune is based on scipy (numpy, scipy) <http://www.scipy.org/>, guiqwt <http://code.google.com/p/guiqwt/> and pyQt4 <http://www.riverbankcomputing.co.uk>.
If you are not familiar with python you can use winpython <http://code.google.com/p/winpython>.
The project (too ambitious) was abandoned. But you can check out my simplified version with predefined PID methods <https://sourceforge.net/projects/pypidtunemethods>.
