  • Great project

  • The best to deal with docking studies

  • really good job

  • To install Pymol, go to http://www.python.org/download/releases/2.7/ and download & install Python 2.7. Don't go the the Python web site, as it only has version 2.7.1 listed, which won't work with the Pymol installer. To get the compiled Pymol installer by Christoph Gohlke, go to http://www.lfd.uci.edu/~gohlke/pythonlibs/#pymol and download the file pymol-1.3r2.win32-py2.7. Double click on the Pymol installer and it should successfully install the program in the Python folder. To get a shortcut into the program menu, simply create a shortcut of the Pymol application and place it where you like in the start menu.

  • For all the ones complaining about not being able to find the files: just checkout the sources using svn co https://pymol.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/pymol pymol Very cool piece of software, keep it going guys! PS: what's wrong in selling the binaries. It's a very good buisness model. If you don't want to support them and pay you can just compile the sources. It's a very good deal, everyone's a winner.

  • To me, the best aid when dealing with my docking studies.

  • I found the source at https://sourceforge.net/projects/pymol/develop and the academic version is on the pymol page http://pymol.org/educational. Not too hard too find.
