pyLuminous is the umbrella project that currently contains pyQW and pyFresnel. So downloading pyLuminous gives you everything. pyQW is a python script for modelling a simple finite quantum well and its intersubband transitions. There is also a pdf included which goes through the theory. pyFresnel is a collection of python modules for modelling the optical properties of dielectric interfaces, slabs and thin films. pyFresnel includes a transfer matrix implementation that can also model the anisotropic intersubband transitions of a quantum well; these are anisotropic layers which interact differently with light polarised within the layer than with light polarised perpendicular to the layer.
