Pylot Alpha 0.40 Release Notes ------------------------------ Pylot is a work in progress. I make no guarantees that it will run well, or even at all. Changes between versions can be quite drastic, and levels made in one version may not work with later versions. The lesson is, don't get too attached to your creations. Requirements: ------------- Windows XP or higher (may run in Linux (via Wine) but hasn't been tested, try at your own risk). It may also run on earlier versions of Windows, but again, this hasn't been tested. Installing and Running the Game ---------------- For the current version (0.40), download and run "Pylot 0.40 setup.exe". If you choose not to install a shortcut to your desktop, run Pylot.exe in the game's main folder. Version 0.37 doesn't need to be installed. Just download it and run Pylot.exe. Earlier versions do not have standalone executables. You will need Python 2.7.3, plus the Pygame and Numpy libraries to run them. Running the main.py script will start the game. Custom Levels ------------- You can use the level editor, PylotEd, to make custom levels. It is included in the latest release, under the main folder. By default, worlds are saved in the /worlds folder, so to play your levels, you only need to run Pylot and choose World Select from the main menu. Enjoy! -Fleegle2000
