The CSS is unchanged from 3.0.0, apart from comments and the LICENSE link in the banner.

  • Replaced the deprecated Grunt build with ESM npm scripts (npm run build, npm test, npm run watch, npm run release). Build output is unchanged.
  • Development now requires Node.js 26+ and npm 12+ (see .nvmrc).
  • Removed the deprecated Rework (rework, rework-pure-grids, rework-mutate-selectors) from the build. Grids and base-context.css are now generated without it. Build output is unchanged.
  • Added generateGrids() to the purecss package (require('purecss').generateGrids) for building custom grids. It takes the same arguments as rework-pure-grids' units() and returns the CSS string, with no Rework needed.
  • The license banner now links to blob/main/LICENSE.
  • Releases are now published to npm from GitHub Actions with trusted publishing, and include npm provenance.
