Puf is a command line web (HTTP) client. It is similar to GNU wget (and has similar options), but has the ability to do many downloads in parallel. Of course, it supports recursive fetching.

  • it have many errors about fetch url's form wordpress (cgi links) it looks like a bug ?. :( and no way to conatct the coder ? .. :(
  • Blew wget out of the water for slurping down a large tree of files, performance wise. I started wget, thought there must be a better way, searched, found this program, downloaded the source, compiled it, scanned the README, started it up and it surpassed the progress wget had made during all this time in less than a minute. I stopped the wget process which would have taken hours. puf did the job as expected.
