--ProxyDNSFilters-- (updated 23 oct. 2013) A. Whats is it: ProxyDNSFilters includes two tools that can be useful for web filtering: a custom filtered DNS relay server and a custom filtered Proxy\SOCKS server. (filtering is possible by custom IPs, MACs, sites and time settings). This app comes with a small, friendly gui which allows users to configue the servers and the filters easly. This app can be useful for schools, libraries or other organizations that would like to filter web content or limit access to the internet in their networks. ProxyDNSFilters runs under Windows systems only, and may run as NT service. B. Why did I start it: The goal was to develop an application that would help me limiting the access to the web in the school where I work, so only the teachers will be able to surf using school's wireless network. C. Requirements: 1. Windows environment and Internet Connection 2. Microsoft .Net Framework 2.0 D. License: (updated 23 oct. 2013) This app is licensed under the GNU General Public License v2.0 (find it here: https://gnu.org/licenses/old-licenses/gpl-2.0.txt) E. Disclaimer: ProxyDNSFilters and its source code are provided as-is, with no warranty of any kind. Users should be aware that this app is in the alpha stage of development, and they use ProxyDNSFilters on their own responsibility. F. Author and contact: ProxyDNSFilters is developed by Nati Gabbay.
