================ readme.txt ================ NOTE FOR THE LIVE SESSION OF PIUMALINUX --------------------------------------- Please, in order to launch the live session, use these username and password, required at login: unsername: piuma password: 'blank' (no password needed, just give enter) NOTE FOR THE INSTALLATION OF PIUMALINUX VIA LIVE SESSION -------------------------------------------------------- Click on "Install Piumalinux2012" and follow the Ubiquity's installation procedure. Please, note that you cannot install Piumalinux directly from the "Installer boot menu", but you need to run the live session. NOTE FOR THE INSTALLATION OF PIUMALINUX WITHOUT THE ISO IMAGE ------------------------------------------------------------- If you want to "install" (it is a workaround) Piumalinux without a large iso image, you need a fast internet connection and the ubuntu mini.iso (x86 or amd64, depending on your architecture; look here: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Installation/MinimalCD). 1. Burn the mini.iso on a cd or copy it on a USB stick (use Unetbootin or "dd if" method). 2. Launch the mini.iso installation and follow the steps, adding no other apps to the minimal ones. 3. At the end, reboot the system. 4. After the login download and run the scripts piumalinux2012-apps.sh and piumalinux2012-appearance.sh: -- cd ~/ -- wget http://sourceforge.net/projects/piumalinux/files/Piumalinux-script/piumalinux2012-apps.sh -- wget http://sourceforge.net/projects/piumalinux/files/Piumalinux-script/piumalinux2012-appearance.sh -- chmod +x ~/piumalinux2012-apps.sh -- chmod +x ~/piumalinux2012-appearance.sh -- ~/piumalinux2012-apps.sh -- ~/piumalinux2012-appearance.sh 5. Reboot the system. Enjoy Piumalinux!
