Reliability

  • Atomic single-instance startup reduces duplicate tray app launches.
  • Playback temporary files are isolated per session.
  • Settings reopen behavior is more reliable.
  • Public unit tests now run in an isolated Core-only environment even when optional extension packages are installed on the developer machine.

UI and Workflow

  • Open-source notices are available from Settings.
  • Chromeless dialog placement and dragging are more consistent.
  • Recent now records command-server and file-open reads, so packaged reads appear in tray history.
  • Duplicate hotkey combinations are rejected.

Voice and Packaging

  • Configured Piper voice readiness is validated before use.
  • Voice Manager download URLs are encoded more safely.
  • Very long unbroken text chunks are capped.
  • Portable launchers, setup default voice paths, package asset runtime paths, and context-menu helper imports were fixed.

QA

  • Added release-critical regression coverage around startup, voice, context menu, playback, settings, launcher paths, and the public live UI flow.
