• [2015.08.05; Bug-fix; Maikuolan]: Bug found in the code for complex extended signatures whereby clusters of sequential signatures with similar initial conditions weren't differentiated as unique, individual signatures by the core code, being interpreted, rather, as singular singatures; Fixed.

• [2015.08.07; Sub-minor code change; Maikuolan]: Added PHAR to the extensions recognised as potential PHP files by the code for PHP chameleon attack detections; Added the new directives detect_adware, detect_joke_hoax, detect_pua_pup, detect_packer_packed, detect_shell and detect_deface, to provide users of phpMussel with a way to instruct phpMussel to ignore those included signatures that may, in some circumstances, occasioanally be problematic for some users.

• numerous new shell signatures; Added numerous new forkbomb signatures; Modified the vn_shorthand() function and its entries; Added a new type of signature set and two accompanying signature files: PE extended signatures (pex_custom.cvd; pex_mussel.cvd); Added new CLI-mode functionality. PE extended signatures are matched against the size and MD5 hash of the content of variables within PE files. New CLI-mode functionality allows users to extract PE variable and PE section information from a PE file. For more details, refer to the documentation.
