= Introduction =

Welcome, I hope you find the phpfreebase library helpful.
 
phpfreebase is being released under the Apache 2.0 license 
and any media such as images and documentation is released 
under the creative commons license. 

This project has just gotten off the ground and already I
have had several inquireis regarding the project.

The main goal of this project is to provide a simple to use
php library that will ease the development of anyone wishing 
to use php to query the Freebase Open Database system. 

The library is a result of my need to query the freebase odbs 
and finding almost nothing in the way of existing code or samples.

Freebase.com has focused themselves on the development of their 
own hosting environment for freebase applications. Yet, the 
data is open and freely avaliable for anyone who can query it.



Releases:

Beta Release 0.6.0
1. This is the very first release of the phpfreebase library. 
2. This version does not support the writing of data to the
Freebase ODBS. That feature will be introduce in a later
version of the library.
3. There is no documentation for this version and it is likely
to change as I get input from users.

This project is hosted on SourceForge and Google Code. 
I have had issues with SVN on Google so the project may be move
entirely to SourceForge.
