  • A fantastic tool. Thank you for creating it and allowing everyone to use it. It is simple to use and does what it claims to do. It may not have a bucket of options, but it doesn't need them. I used it to create a Photo Memorial.
  • Thank you very much for the program distributed under a free open license!
  • Extremely primitive, most dialog boxes do not even have an "ok" button. I'm working on a slide show and wanted something simple yet functional and quicker than hacking out a bash+imagemagick script -- looks like the bash script will be quicker and easier. Avoid.
  • Very nice tool. We use it in creative-thinking process when we prepare new TV show or home video.
  • Super easy to use. It do what it say and the quality is amazing too. You can also use from command line using the cli version. Just one suggestion, please modify the program so that it can be run in background also suing nohup, it fails to run in background. Else i am satisfy with the software.
  • This just works, and does exactly what it says - what a fantastic open source multi-platform tool. Could use a few more features and options (my picks would be live preview and configurable framerates, besides just the PAL/NTSC selection, so that you can splice/merge photo filmstrips with other footage without suffering from framerate conversion artifacts). But it does what it does exceptionally well, and after finally getting dependencies installed on my Windows box (PIL was a pain), I was able to manually tweak what I needed. Thanks again to the dev.

  • برنامجد جدا جدا رائع جميل وبسيط والاهم من ذلك سريع
  • Shows lots of promise as a MS PhotoStory3 replacement. GUI is first rate, very simple to use (unlike the massively complex but totally obscure Open Source ffDiaporama). Really needs the ability to 'set this photo crop start to same place as previous photo crop end' (so you can build multi-step Ken Burns effect by importing the same photo multiple times) and the ability to change the music track on a new photo (rather than just a single track per project). The final 'annoyance' is that the output fps/resolutions/bit rates are 'built in' at 'compile' time (it would be Really Nice if it would support an external profile (like MS PS3 does, with it's '.prx' profiles :-) ) = of course you can always tweak the Python source and run it in interpreter mode
  • I really wish development will continue. Photo film Strip has enormous potential bus is still a "work in progress". I am willing to donate to see some features! Please keep up the good work!
  • Works great on Ubuntu 14.04. I looked around a lot and compared several application for generating slideshows from images. This app was the only one that rendered high-definition videos correctly. Picture transitions are great and very smooth too. Definitely will support this further development for this project. Thanks!

  • Thanks a lot for this application. This is exactly what I was looking for a long time. Free, intuitive, simple and perfect video output.
  • GUI looks cool and I can imagine that if it work than it's quite useful app. But at this moment it doesn't work at all on Ubuntu 13.04. Any attempt to render video finishes with error message :-( I use version from Ubuntu Software Center (photofilmstrip 1.9.91+dfsg-1). If you need any additional info about this bug than feel free to contact me.

  • Great concept for an application. Will be using it from now on.
