Tested the phish alert / report button for outlook for a while. So far it is satisfactory and will probably use it in production. Here are my evaluation notes. Pros: 1) it is working as expected. Does not crash outlook, does not have unexpected behaviours. 2) it is free. Generally if you want to have a phish alert / report button for Outlook, you have to buy a phishing & awareness solution. And when you change the solution you use, you have to uninstall the plugin of previous vendor and install plugins of new vendor. With this free add-in, you can install the it and use forever ( as far as i can see from licensing and other details) 3) You can customize the button and change its texts and texts displayed in popups. But you cant change the icon 4) Changing configuration is easy. Configuration file is stored under c:\program files\phishguard . Change the settings in the file, restart outlook and you have new phish alert / report button settings. Cons: 1) As mentioned in Pros part, you cant change the icon. So you have to use the default icon for the button. But i liked the default icon too. 2) Phishing & awareness solutions which offer phish alert / report button also have mail analysis features, this free tool does not have these features. But this is another story and should be addressed with other tools. I will try the ThePhish+MISP+Cortex+Hive combination before testing commercial solutions. Cant say anything about support, because till now i did not need support.Reply from Phish Alert Button for Outlook
