It uses the AppImage (http://appimage.org/) package format, and some script magic (https://github.com/RazZziel/PortableLinuxGames).

Awesome project, if you JUST want to enjoy gaming on Linux then you should seriuosly consider this! :) Simply download and execute the file! Love it! No more compiling, untaring/unzipping, or even "installing" This was long needed for the Linux users who have Mac/windows background. The maintainer/developer is responsive to the queries, suggestions, ideas. I wish more game developers will start using and supporting AppImage
