Windows: Download Pf4win.zip, unzip, save the folder anywhere on your computer, put the shortcut where you want to use the program, say, on your desktop. The exe file must remain in the folder. Mac: Download Pf4.dmg.zip, unzip, move the Pf4 in the dmg folder to where you want to use it. To open postscript files (.ps) on a Mac, TeXShop works well for me.
