Installation instruction: The preferable way of installation is PEAR installation, then you can have the PEXESO installed as library but you need to have access to shell of the web server. If you don't have access to the shell (i.e. if you have only PHP Web Hosting) you can choose Web Folder installation. PEAR Installation ================= 1. Download PEAR package of your choice 2. Install it using PEAR tool i.e. "pear install download/pexeso-1.2.0b1.tgz" Since version 1.0.1 the package contains also example that is installed at path <www_dir>/pexeso/example where www_dir is pear configuration property where all web files are installed. To use it you have to add to your php page this code: <?php // set path to framework set_include_path(get_include_path().PATH_SEPARATOR.'/usr/share/pear/pexeso'); // include the class loader require_once 'classExists.php'; // register class loader spl_autoload_register(classExists); ... ?> You may need to change the path /usr/share/pear to location where your PEAR packages are installed. Web Folder Installation ======================= 1. Download PEAR package of your choice 2. Extract the downloaded file i.e. "tar xvzf pexeso-1.2.0b1.tgz" 3. Move the extracted folder (folder that contains 'classExists.php' file) to the web folder, usually to the document root To use it you have to add to your php page this code: <?php // set path to framework relative to this file set_include_path(get_include_path().PATH_SEPARATOR.'pexeso-1.2.0b1'); // include the class loader require_once 'classExists.php'; // register class loader spl_autoload_register(classExists); ... ?> You may need to adjust the path to the framework, it should be path relative to referring PHP file. AJAX Configuration ================== To enable AJAX you may need to configure relative URL of "jslibs" folder on your web site. By default it is "/pexeso/jslibs" which is correct if you install it with PEAR and www_dir PEAR configuration property is HTTP document root. If install it differently you have to adjust it accordingly by setting 'JSLibrary' property before loading the view. See the example: <?php // set path to framework relative to this file set_include_path(get_include_path().PATH_SEPARATOR.'pexeso-1.2.0b1'); // include the class loader require_once 'classExists.php'; // register class loader spl_autoload_register(classExists); // load view px\view\Application::getApplication()->setJSLibraryUrl("/pexeso-1.2.0b1/jslibs"); $view = px\view\Application::getApplication()->getViewForComponent(new QName("MyNiceView")); $view->execute(); ?>
