Updates
KDE is starting off late, so it will not follow the similar release cycle as compared to the other versions.
Beta Versions
KDE will follow stable-staging instead of beta-staging. This means, the implementations would be thoroughly tested before releasing. If something is experimental, then you'd see the "experimental" tag in front of it.

Snapshot Test
Snapshots can only be tested in the installed version. Live-iso will not let you test the snapshot capability. Try to upgrade or install a software after completely installing the OS. You should be able to see the Snapshot on next reboot.
