This update introduces intelligent SMS transaction detection, seamless Google Drive cloud backups, and a completely redesigned Settings dashboard. Automate your financial tracking, secure your data with hands-off cloud sync, and navigate a faster, more tactile app experience.

⚠️ Important: Enable SMS Feature (One-Time Setup)

To use the new Smart SMS Detection feature, Google Play Protect may block the installation or restrict permissions. This is a standard security measure for apps that access SMS. Please follow these steps:

Step 1: Pause Play Protect During Installation

1. Open the Google Play Store app
2. Tap your Profile Icon (top right)
3. Tap Play Protect
4. Tap the Settings gear icon (top right)
5. Toggle "Scan apps with Play Protect" to OFF temporarily
6. Install/Update Pebble
7. (Optional) Re-enable Play Protect after installation

Step 2: Allow Restricted Settings (For SMS Suggestions)

1. Go to your phone Settings > Apps > Pebble
2. Tap the three-dot menu (top right corner)
3. Tap "Allow restricted settings"
4. Confirm the prompt
5. Now enable "Get alerts from Pebble" in Pebble's Settings. If enabled disable and enable again

💚 Your Privacy Matters
Pebble processes all SMS messages locally on your device. We never read, store, or transmit your banking messages or any sensitive data to external servers. The SMS permission is used solely to detect transaction amounts and provide quick-add suggestions—nothing more.

Pebble now reads incoming banking SMS messages locally to suggest adding transactions. Tapping the notification opens the add screen with the amount and type pre-filled, drastically reducing manual entry while keeping all message data strictly on your device.

Google Drive Cloud Backup & Restore
Securely back up your entire financial life—database, settings, and receipt images—directly to a hidden AppData folder in Google Drive. Restore your data anytime with a single tap, ensuring a seamless recovery process without relying on fragile local file exports.

24-Hour Automated Cloud Sync
Enable Auto Backup in Settings to let Pebble silently sync your data to Google Drive every day. Powered by Android's WorkManager, it intelligently runs only when connected to the internet and battery levels are healthy, guaranteeing peace of mind without draining resources.

Redesigned Settings Dashboard
Experience a sleek, app-centric Settings layout featuring a horizontal Quick Access Grid for core tools, edge-to-edge preference lists, and custom tactile toggles. The interface dynamically hides the navigation bar while scrolling to maximize screen space and improve fluidity.
