Pearl Surf is a 64bit xfce4 Linux Distro designed to run from USB. TO RUN PEARL SURF FROM USB: To run Pearl Surf LIVE you should obtain a usb pin, thumb...etc drive. It should be at least 2 GIGS. If you are using a Linux OS already then use the USB Creator from Ubuntu or unetbootin also available from the Ubunru's Software Center. Their are other options for Windows users and now even Mac users. I like YUMI myself there is a windows and Linux version. http://pendrivelinux.com It is self explainatory how to use the creator. Follow their instructions. Simply put the .iso you downloaded is what you choose for "source disc image" and once you insert your usb drive usb-creator will ask you if you want to ease disc. Say yes. That way it formates it correctly for. thats it. After program completes simply choose your usb in bios to boot to. Included on this system is the USB Creator from the Ubuntu Software Center for creating extra usb sticks. TO INSTALL PEARL SURF TO YOUR HARD DRIVE: Simply burn .iso to dvd or usb and boot to it. Choose first option Boot Live ... Once you get to login screen use "custom" for username hit enter and do not enter any password and again hit enter... Follow easy install instructions.
