You may change the above defaults and much more by clicking on the desktop
link to raspi-config including expanding the image file you downloaded to
fill your 16-256G microSD card. Using a 64GBand up SD card requires formatting
with the exFAT filesystem instead of FAT32 due to FAT32 limitations.

We recommend eithe Gnome Disk Utility or Etcher to flash your image.

This release is a full desktop and runs much better than the old Dell Computers
we have been rebuilding for yrs. Everything just works.

Only one thing that I'll give you a heads up on is because the Pi 4B is
capable of dual monitors while learning the system was pretty confused by
the systems way of choosing default sound source whether it is sent out
to HDMI or the analog. HDMI is default. If you here no sound just change it
in the MATE control center.
