At the login screen please type "custom" as the username hit enter then for password lease that field blank and hit enter.

Compiz Special Note: Unless you really want ..like i do lol the wobbley windows and the minimizing effects that compiz offer, I do not suggest starting compiz. Unless you are familiar with compizconfig settings configurations you just might find yourself simply stuck ...and in that event don't forget the good ol ctrl-alt-del to reboot and and to open a new login window (example) ctrl-alt-F2. Just a couple reminders for the non computer geeks that are trying to tweak settings.
