this install only for AMD cpu?intell cpu can install it?

The visuals are excellent but it appears to be a memory hog. I have it running on a Dual core 2.8 AMD 64 Bit platform with 2 Gigs of Ram. It lags a lot compared to other Distro's I've tried...Punguy, SUSE, Magia etc...
