Pearl Desktop 4.0 features PDE , our own custom desktop environment which is a lightweight desktop environment created from components from LXDE XFCE4 and of course compiz. Featuring 4 Unique login sessions. Default session is PearlDE-FX- with Compiz desktop efects, PearlDE- using XFWM4 as a lighter window manager, LXDE- Windows XP styled session with openbox added gnome flashback compiz / metacity and of course KODI Media Center available as standalone login or within a current session.
Has just enough software to get it done yet plenty of room to add your own favorite software from either the new GNOME Software App, Ubuntu Software Center, GDEBI or Synaptic.

Pearl MATE Lite also available

This is our first release that relies on our own repository for the base system but also uses the Ubuntu repository for the large amount of free open source software that is available through it.

We added new Mac OS X theme from Noobslab for more options on customizing your system.
