  • This appears to be good software though it is not very intuitive. To save edited text characters in PDFedit I had to first press F5 (refresh); e.g. select text - Selection pane - selection - TJ - Parameter 0 Array - modify required characters - F5 - save

  • Like this software. Is there any efforts to port to qt4 or gtk. Missing out as debian has removed from repository due to dependency on qt3.

  • Worked a charm! Needed to merge pages from different PDF files and it worked without problems. Thanks!

  • very hard to code project... Non-English characters are not supported well...

  • Options à really poor. I used it only to insert a picture and it didn t make the job. Keep going, don't give up the project

  • Completely useless, at least for the task I needed it for. I simply wanted to edit one single character in a pdf file. Pdfedit crashes when I try.

  • Great software, thank you.

  • very good project, thanks!

  • Crashes on Windows 7. Can't recommend a program that can't even add text to a PDF without crashing.

  • Slow, junky, installer dumps everything in the root of C: by default with no program group, the uninstaller requires itunes be closed, and the program calls itself TIAEditor.

  • Hi, Can pdfedit be used to edit non-ascii and non-latin1 gliphs? I try and it replaces the gliphs with question marks. Also, if I just select to edit a field with the euro character, and I do not modify it, euro becomes the charcater NOT (¬). How pdfedit handles the encoding? Thank you. Ionel

  • Works great! Needed to separate English and 2 other languages apart in a cd player owner's manual. Now I can e-mail the English version to my church where the player is located. This is a well written program, Thank You.

  • pdfedit - is great. Easy to create

  • great program pdfedit, thanks.

  • Thumbs up!!!

  • I have tried more than 10 open source pdf editors, and only PDFEdit can fulfill my needs. A must use tool! Thanks for this great project

  • excellent tool for creating and editing pdf files, it's very simply to use

  • Windows XP - Can't use it. It's missing the msvcp100.dll file.

  • Sorry to be negative, but in a first time it has altered the *.PDF association without suggesting it / telling it during the installation, so I had to fix it manually to link PDF documents back to Acrobat Reader. And I don't see any shortcut to start the application in the Windows start menu or on the desktop... Strange, maybe the installation failed (I use Windows 7 64-bit Enterprise). I also remember it proposed me to install the soft into the folder 'C:\' (instead of 'C:\Program Files (x86)' or 'C:\Program Files'). Afterwards, I tried to change a PDF document and it didn't work because it says the PDF file is encrypted... Ok, maybe this behavior is normal because it's a kind of 'protected document' but I only wanted to change a wrong information in this single PDF file ;-) So I uninstalled this software. I would just advise to review the installation program regarding: * the file association (*.PDF), does the user wants to have this soft associated per default? * the installation folder (if it also suggest 'C:\' to everybody instead of the Standard program folder) * creation of a shortcut somewhere (in the menu, the desktop, the quick launch, ...) ... And maybe manage encrypted files ;-) (but I don't think it would be possible!) I hope my comment will help the developer(s) and the end-users.

  • Fast. Easy. Great.

  • This is an excellent tool.
