1.12.2 – Preflight

• Detects and repairs transparent gradients (soft masks) that some RIPs/plotters print as black areas – converted to opaque images at 300 dpi, text and vectors stay intact, no Ghostscript needed
• Detects phone HDR photos (gain map); repair removes the auxiliary pages, with optional gain-map merge
• New "Images & Colours" tab: colour space, ICC profile and output intent per image, effective resolution per placement, recommended sizes and low-resolution warnings

1.12.3 – File size analysis

• New "File size" tab shows where the bytes go: images, fonts, colour profiles, editing data, thumbnails, attachments, old saved versions and duplicates – with warnings for oversized files

1.12.4 – Reduce file size

• New dialog (File size tab or Document → Reduce file size) with individually switchable measures: lossless cleanup by default, optional downsampling to 300/240/150/100 dpi
• Original stays unchanged, result opens in a new window
• New CLI command shrink (e.g. passermark-cli shrink in.pdf out.pdf --set downsample=true --set target_dpi=150)
• Example: 34 MB → 0.5 MB, pixel-identical (90 duplicated CMYK profiles merged)

1.12.5 – Licences & docs

• All third-party licence notices bundled with installer and AppImage, viewable via Help → Licences
• READMEs: new third-party licence section
• CLI manual updated with shrink and flatten_softmask
