Gerard Jensen <gerard.jensen@a2b-consulting.com> 18 August 2006 00:18 To: Panic Button translators list <panicbutton-translators@lists.sourceforge.net> Hi Russ, I have just uploaded the preliminary files of my translated version of Panic Button 2.3 to my fileserver: http://www.a2b-consulting.com/panicbutton/downloads/Panic_Button_de_2-3.exe http://www.a2b-consulting.com/panicbutton/downloads/Panic_Button_de_2-3.zip http://www.a2b-consulting.com/panicbutton/downloads/Panic_Button_de_2-3_src.zip I hope the above links don't get mangled too much, otherwise check out http://www.a2b-consulting.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=18&Itemid=27 I'd appreciate it if you could upload these files to the Sourceforge repository though (as soon as that's done I'd change the links on my site too), as that's probably the better place to keep them - my traffic quota at Strato obviously can't compete with that of Sourceforge ;-) As mentioned, it's a preliminary release - I invite comments on all the changes I have made, starting from a slightly re-designed helpfile (different css file, screenshots from an XP system, as I regard that to be pretty much commonplace these days, added (yet really, really small) index, modified the javascript) over to a couple of changes in the sources itself (different time format). Whoever downloads and uses that version should keep in mind that it's actually a "breakout" version: the installer currently only supports German (I have included translated InfoBefore.de.txt and InfoAfter.de.txt files as well as a slightly modified gpl.de.txt - at a later point we still have to pick up on that point of providing a directory structure that caters for different languages, essentially allowing for a single installer one day to support multiple languages) and I'm not quite sure if I've really included all the files required (it just happens to work when I use it on my machine - no warranty that it works on any other). However: we now have the first "internationalised" version of Panic Button. Time to start a bit of marketing of that thingy in Germany, I guess ;-)) Talking about which, I've also created a forum on my website for the discussion of German translation issues, so as not to clutter the official Panic Button bug report area for this "inofficial" German 2.3 version: http://www.a2b-consulting.com/index.php?option=com_joomlaboard&Itemid=28 (yes, obviously all in German over there... after all, that's probably the language most folks speak that stumble accross problems with the German translation ;-)) Kind regards Gerard -- From a2b Consulting GmbH Gerard Jensen Rödingsmarkt 39 mailto:gerard.jensen@a2b-consulting.com 20459 Hamburg http://www.a2b-consulting.com/ ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Tel: 040-657934-60 Fax: 040-657934-62 Handy: 0160-8050313 ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Using Tomcat but need to do more?
