The quality control of this product has declined over the last couple of releases and to complicate matters reporting defects has become cumbersome with limited response by knowledgeable resources. If the trend continues, I will be forced to another solution. This is disappointing because the application worked very well for years.

I had a few problems installing and setting up 3.1 a few months ago, and now again with 4.0, but it was nothing that couldn't be dealt with. All in all, this is a great project. By the way, the official documentation says it shouldn't be used in a virtualized environment, but we're running it in a Xen virtual machine without problems (although the number of agents and monitors is quite small.)

Outstanding software with more features than most expensive commercial solutions.

Have had this running on an entry-level VPS host for over a year. For small businesses this would give you near zero-cost availability monitoring and it will scale for larger businesses too.
