  • I can see nny user like this app. I use linux mint. After I unpacked the files, I read your instruction manuals, watched a more than 5-year-old youtube video on how to install this program. And the program still doesn't work on my machine. I think that the installation process in this is far too complicated. If you waste 1 hour out of 1000 users' time, you have collectively wasted about half a working year of your users' time. I think that is worth thinking about. My cpu is a Ryzen 5 .otherwise I think the idea of making a program like this is really good.
  • best gui builder ever
  • If you look into the history of this project you should be able to see just how far it's progressed over the years and how much time and hard work has been invested in it; that investment continues to this day. Although there are some small (and at times frustrating) little bugs, they are few and what few there are, should not (and for me, don't) detract from the overriding usefulness and value that one gets from this wonderful project. The user support one gets is second to none, so if you do fall over something, you can expect one of the swiftest responses to a request for help that you'll ever get. There is a learning curve to deal with and that curve will be proportional to your knowledge of both Python as well as Tkinter. The time that you need to invest at first, with the learning, will pay off dividends after you get some experience. It's very important that you read and follow the detailed user guide that you'll find included in the downloaded file package. Said guide has some very good and very detailed projects that one can follow and learn from. If you want and need to put together a GUI front-end for your Python app, then this could very well be the solution that you need.
  • can someone make a updated version of this already i cant even export my UI anymore, just says a bunch of syntax errors and other errors edit: wait this is updated? why is it so buggy???
  • I couldn't open the application as whenever I tried to, it would just open up something I could only see the icon of on the taskbar. But I ran the code and found out that the app was amazing.
  • Very well written GUI builder for tkinter. I am running under Windows 10 and Rpi Linux. A slight learning curve, the the examples and tutorial help alot.
  • Very useful for creating GUI for python / Tkinter
  • Thank you very much for the free open source program!
  • A good project, but it lacks some features: ► A grid component (as Delphi StringGrid) ► A widget to add images But it's easy to install and use and it is not abandoned as other GUI's for Python.
  • Very easy to use and quite useful tool. Thanks for sharing!
  • Really simple and you can build simple GUI in no time. Recommend very much!
  • does not start on Windows 10, says no wish.exe file

As explained in the documentation, you need to have Tcl/Tk installed. With Tcl/Tk installed, PAGE runs fine on Windows 10.
  • PAGE is an easy to use tool and platform-independent. It has a couple of useful features. Beginning with release 4.23 PAGE supports Unicode on any platform. Thus, internationalization issues are related to various Tcl interpreters rather than to the PAGE script itself. The multiple window interface is somehow unfamiliar to me but not a problem since window positions are customizable and automatically saved. The script is being frequently updated and maintained. Issues are getting solved and new features implemented.
  • Very intuitive to use but backed up by extensive documentation as well. I was looking for a quick way to generate a GUI for my Python scripts and this is absolutely perfect.
  • PAGE is simply great piece of software, the author is a very kind man who really cares both about project and it's users. He is open to new ideas that make PAGE even better. PAGE does all the routine job for you, the python output code looks very nice, also the idea of dividing output code into two files saves a lot of time if you are going to change your GUI in future, e.g. adding some new functionality, so you don't need to rewrite all event handlers. Perfect for those who intended to make simple python GUIs. Also it is very easy and fast to configure and run PAGE, it doesn't require installation and is fully portable. It's written in pure Tcl/Tk which is pre-installed on most linux distribution which makes it very easy to use compare to similar products. I consider PAGE to be must-have tool for those python developers who work with Tkinter.
  • A really easy software to generate GUI on python.
  • I am a casual user of PYTHON. I have been following PAGE for about three years. It has provided me insight into how the GUI works. Periodic updates are great. This is not orphan-ware. Author has been responsive and helpful via Email. Thank you !
  • Wow, I'm glad I found this. This saves so much time getting the UI modelled and is right up to date with features too. Personally, I prefer a singe IDE window than disparate widgets on the desktop but hey, it works quite well, and has saved my sanity from looking at tk books for parameters and settings.

  • Great tool. Two improvements requested. First. Integrate all the toolboxes into one window, like newer GIMP. That will make it look much better and easier. Second. The Properties window is not scrolling with mouse scroll button, please fix it.
  • Easy for use.
