e-Bridge Hotel Lite 5.6 for windows 10 and Windows 11

e-Bridge Hotel Lite 5.6 uses WSL and ubuntu 20.04 as a preconfigured image.

Requires:
Windows 10 or 11
> 5Gb of free diskspace
8Gb Ram above


INSTALLATION
******************************************************************************

Download and extract the zip file eg into  C:\e-Bridge Travel Technology 

In the e-Bridge Hotel Lite directory
Run install_ebridge.bat

On running setup the installer will 
1. Install WSL without any distribution
2. Load the e-Bridge distribution 
3. Set the distribution as default.

If after installing WSL the PC requires a reboot, complete the installation by running install_ebridge.bat again.



RUNNING THE PROGRAM
******************************************************************************
Starting e-Bridge Hotel the batch file will request "administrator" privilege.

In the e-Bridge Hotel Lite directory

Run  run_ebridge.bat


On starting e-Bridge the following process occurs:

1. Clear any mapping for SSL port 443 - requires administrator
2. Start WSL 
3. Determine the internal IPv4 address used by WSL
4. use netsh to map SSL port 443 to WSL IPv4 address port 443. - requires administrator
5. open the default web browser to https://localhost

ACCOUNT INFORMATION

The WSL accounts are
Login:   administrator / password
MySQL:   root / password
e-Bridge Hotel:  admin/password


The certificate being used by e-Bridge Hotel is a self signed certificate so will generate a warning on connection.
This certificate can be added to your trusted list so the warning does not recur, or the certificates can be replaced with valid SSL certificates.

The certificate and key files are located in /etc/ssl/certs  localhost.crt and localhost.key

e-Bridge Hotel is licensed under an EULA for all closed source components.

e-Bridge Hotel is a closed source product, the free version requires no registration and is a fully operational standalone PMS. 
Optional components are available on subscription.
Where any opensource components are used, the original project source and licenses remain intact with the referenced distribution. 

e-Bridge Hotel uses licensed and proprietary standards that cannot be published in opensource applications by legal agreement, so cannot be published.

In order to support the Open Travel Alliance Hotel XML schemas many tables have been re-organised, the files and functions modified and the workflow streamlined.

The e-Bridge Hotel software works seamlessly with the e-Bridge suite for B2B and B2C connectivity and is designed to give a low cost connectivity option to travel industry.

E-Bridge Hotel is available in 3 variations.
e-Bridge Hotel Lite - PMS only suitable for small properties that wish to run on premises PMS. 
                    - Single OTA and housekeeping/room key functions available with subscription.
					
e-Bridge Hotel Cloud - PMS suitable for VPS (cloud) installation
                     - Single OTA, Instant Messaging, Online booking engine, housekeeping/room key functions available with subscription. 

e-Bridge Hotel Premium - Full Cloud PMS with all features.

Terms and Conditions

1) Companies subscribing must be recognized legal entities with a nominated contact person.
2) e-Novate will not pay for registration of individual company domain names nor the cost of hosting for individual websites or web pages not part of the e-Bridge provided template websites hosted on e-Bridge servers.
3) Ongoing subscriptions are subject to prepayment of annual license fee by room number see https://www.e-bridge.co for pricing.
4) Companies with more than one service can subscribe to multiple types for concurrent usage.
5) e-Novate links to multiple payment gateways for real time payment validation, other payment gateways can be added on request but all costs associated for individual gateways are borne by the Subscriber.
6) Free version of e-Bridge Basic requires company or operator validation
