1. Purpose

This utility switches between mirrored and non-mirrored display modes. It is equivalant to using the Display preference pane's Mirror Displays checkbox, but it requires only a shell to use (useful when ssh'ing in and preparing to use VNC, for example).

3. Installation and use

Copy to somewhere on your path (for example, /usr/local/bin) and invoke either as:
	mirroring on
or 	mirroring off



4. Tested configurations

I have tested this on OS X 10.4.2 using a dual G5 Powermac with two displays attached
