Thank you so much for using Orca and for your continued support! ❤️

This patch is built from the September 29 daily build plus fixes picked from main. Pull requests that landed on main after that are not in this build.

The short version

Codex terminals: Settings → Agents has a new "Run each Codex terminal on its own server" switch. It's on by default, which keeps agent status and closing tabs working correctly. Turn it off to go back to Codex's shared server and its agents overview. The switch applies to new terminals. A one-time notice explains the change and links to the switch. Codex started from a cmd.exe tab, by its full path, or after "wait for setup" finishes now runs on its own server too. A busy Codex 0.150–0.157 tab no longer shows as idle, and orchestration workers wait out Codex 0.157's startup screen before their brief is typed.

More agents: DeepSeek Harness, Freebuff, Qoder, and CodeBuddy are built in: you can launch them from Orca, and their status shows in the sidebar. ZCode CLI conversations appear in session history, and its Coding Plan quota shows in usage.

Terminal: A new Reset Terminal item in the terminal's right-click menu clears keyboard and mouse modes a crashed program left on. Orca no longer switches those modes off just because it guessed a program had died, so Shift+Enter and Option/Alt keys keep working in Codex and Claude Code after Ctrl+C. SSH terminals now clean up after a crashed program the same way local ones do. Having hundreds of terminals open no longer stops their output, and a failed terminal save no longer claims your disk is full.

Orca mobile app: On Windows hosts, phone swipes in a Codex terminal scroll again instead of typing junk into Codex after the desktop app restarts. If you update with terminals open, this takes effect once Orca's background terminal service restarts: after you close all terminals or reboot. The app also tells you when a newer version is available to install, and the keyboard now covers the page like it does on other screens in the app.

Browser: If a page in Orca's browser crashes, resizing its viewport no longer crashes Orca. The chosen size is applied when the page loads again. Browser tabs that are moved between groups no longer go blank.

Native chat (experimental): Structured chats can run orchestration themselves and receive worker results. Their status, errors, subagents, and stopped turns are now reported more accurately.

Reliability: A large diff no longer freezes Orca when many files change at once, and Cmd+J keeps the keyboard in the terminal when a workspace takes a moment to load.

Product experience

Codex & orchestration

Codex terminals get a setting to use their own server or Codex's shared one, more Codex launch types run on their own server, and orchestration workers start more reliably.

Agents & agent integrations

DeepSeek Harness, Freebuff, Qoder, and CodeBuddy are built in, ZCode history and quota are shown, and agent launches and hooks are more dependable.

Native chat

Experimental structured chats report status, errors, subagents, and stopped turns more accurately, and they can run orchestration.

Terminal

Reset Terminal clears stuck input modes, Orca no longer switches off a live program's keyboard modes, and terminal saves and restores are more dependable.

Mobile app & paired clients

Phone swipes scroll Codex on Windows hosts again, the app tells you when an update is available, and terminal streams and keyboard layout behave better.

Browser

A crashed page no longer takes Orca down when resized, and moved browser tabs no longer go blank.

Tabs, sidebar & status bar

New-tab search ranks results better, Cmd+J keeps terminal focus, and sidebar and status bar layout is tidied up.

Editor, diffs & files

Large diffs no longer freeze Orca, and Markdown documents are found faster.

SSH, Git & integrations

Remote agent settings survive a failed read, partial-clone repositories are identified correctly, and Linear accepts team keys that start with a digit.

Reliability & performance

Settings search, agent status updates, and the browser version of Orca do less redundant work.

Tests, CI & maintenance

CI runs faster and on cheaper runners, Windows releases require signed binaries, and a CI audit sharding change was reverted.
