**DESCRIPTION**

Optimizer is a software package designed for general mathematical modeling and optimization tasks. It provides a versatile set of tools for function approximation and is particularly well-suited for applications in computational quantum mechanics of molecules.

**INSTALLATION**

1. Download the archive `FITUTIL.ZIP`.
2. Unzip the archive to a directory of your choice on your computer.
3. For detailed installation and usage instructions, please see the `README.TXT` file in the main folder.

**PACKAGE CONTENTS**

*   `APPLICATIONS/` - A collection of application model programs designed to work with Optimizer. This includes general tools for function approximations and specialized tools for computational quantum mechanics. The collection is regularly updated. For more details, see `README.TXT` inside the folder.
*   `UTILS/` - A collection of auxiliary programs that can be launched directly from the MATLAB command window without using the main Optimizer interface. For more details, see `README.TXT` inside the folder.
