Scheduling gains work calendars. You can define named work weeks for a project (a standard five-day week, a six-day trade week, or any custom set of working days), each with its own hours per day and its own list of public holidays, and assign one to any activity from the schedule table. Rescheduling then measures each activity's duration on its own calendar, so a six-day trade finishes sooner than a five-day one over the same work, and a crew that keeps its own holidays finishes later, while the dates, float and critical path stay consistent. Activities left on the project default reschedule exactly as before, so existing schedules do not move.
