This release deepens the estimating side of the platform with a wave of new tools that take a job from a first rough number all the way to a defensible, well-documented bill.
You can now start from a conceptual, order-of-magnitude estimate driven by a few high-level parameters, and a guided copilot walks that concept through to a priced result with the assumptions, exclusions and confidence written up as a proper basis of estimate. General conditions and preliminaries are priced in their own right, split into time-related and fixed items, and an allowances and contingency register keeps provisional sums and risk money explicit instead of buried inside rates. Regional and time-based price indexing adjusts a rate for where and when the work happens, labor-rate build-ups turn a base wage plus on-costs into a chargeable rate, and a resource summary rolls a bill up into its total labor, material and equipment demand. Net quantities convert to gross through a reusable waste-factor library, and production norms expand a work item into the labor and material it implies.
Cost rates now carry a price-date freshness signal. A rate whose price is going stale is flagged next to its usage certainty, independent of how often it is used, and the app suggests a refreshed value you can accept. AI-suggested assemblies are now grounded in real per-unit factors from the catalogue rather than a flat quantity, so a generated recipe is a sensible starting point rather than a list of ones.
The desktop app now shows the real reason when startup fails. Before, a failure could surface only the embedded database shutdown output and leave you staring at cleanup noise; the launcher now latches the true cause, always ends with a clear next step and the log location, and the underlying startup errors that used to be swallowed are reported directly.
