OpenAS2 is a java-based implementation of the EDIINT AS2 standard. It is intended to be used as a server. It is extremely configurable and supports a wide variety of signing and encryption algorithms.
Version 1.3.6 was released on 27th Nov 2015 with support for enhanced logging and bugfixes for async MDN.
Planned enhancements in the next major release:
- Servlet integration
- PGP encryption and compression
NOTE FOR JAVA 1.5: Prior to java 1.6, the Javabeans Activation Framework is NOT included in the standard Java install. Download the 1.1.1 version and extract from the zip file from this web page: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javasebusiness/downloads/java-archive-downloads-java-plat-419418.html#jaf-1.1.1-fcs-oth-JPR
The activation.jar must be placed into the “lib” folder of the OpenAS2 server install and added to the class path in the shell or batch file as appropriate.

- Support for remote control
- Configurable Signature and encrytion

- Configurable Synchronous and Asynchronous MDN

It is very good, thank you
The code is well structured. The documentation is lacking and hard to find but most issues could be resolved using search engines. The project needs some updates to become more current, but it seems fundamentally sound. Authentication was not supported nor an option to use the public certificate of the receiving system as SSL certificate - features provided by other projects with a more uncomfortable license model.
Openas2 works wonderful.
Easy to use and works.
