  • I've recently played Pokemon Onyx Blue, must say this game was very easy and boring. I respect Pokemon sapphire, ruby, and emerald, but this games just didn't stand up. The only things really different from this game and the original were the ability to catch any starter, the ability to select one of three legendary Pokemon as starters, extra caves, and randomly places "dealers" which sold Ultra balls and other various items. I picked Jirachi as my starter, which would have been great if the game was challenging at all, If i wanted to I could have spammed Body Slam through the whole game. The extra caves were great for training water Pokemon because this generation doesn't really have a lot of spots to train water types along the game. I caught a Mudkip in Route 1. So I was in the caves a lot. I realized this was completely pointless, because once you catch Kyogre and train it to level 50, learn Thunderbolt, Ice Beam, Surf, and Calm Mind, you can beat the entire Elite 4 with one max revive. This game took about 2 hours to beat which was very disappointing, not it was too fast, I enjoy quicker games, but the fact that the ending of the game was so lack luster it just made me feel like I wasted my time. I enjoyed playing the game a little bit through the grinding portion, but the layout of the map had no flow what so ever. It was very distracting and broke any immersion a Pokemon game could posses.
  • Just a copy of "Pokemon Sapphire". Disappointing!...
