OMNI Print Driver Model Files

Omniprint  ver. 0.3.1                                                              06/20/01  

Several new features have been added in the past several releases.

  1.  We have moved from the standard dl library use (used for dynamic linking)
      to utilize Glib functions.  This should make Omni more portable across
      different versions of Unix and Linux.
  2.  We have provided input filters for the use of UPDF media and form parameters
      as input to Omni
  3.  Added additional medias to map to UPDF's format.
  4.  Added function to the creation of the dither instance to allow for growth
      and changes.

   Important:
     You will need to uninstall the previous version of RPMS prior to
     installing this version.
     The PATH= environment will need to be updated to also include the
     /opt/Omni directory if the server code is being used.  
    ** Ghostscript will need to be rebuilt using the latest patches from
 http://cvs.sourceforge.net/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/omniprint/Omni/Ghostscript/5.50/    using either the Omni.patch.061301.clean for a new Ghostscript 5.50 install     or Omni.patch.061301.update for upgrading from the 050901 version of Omni.
    We have also provided patches for Ghostscript 6.51 in the 6.51 directory.
    The above patches all work with the Omni 0.3.1 level of RPMS.
