  • Version 1.39 stopped working after my computer installed the latest Windows Update yesterday. Does the newest version 1.43 still work? Sorry for asking here, but the link on the support tab did not work. Thanks.
  • Program connected to MySQL database but non English characters were garbled. There is no information where this software requires ANSI or Unicode driver.

Hi! This tool can work with ANSI or Unicode drivers. You should use the most appropriate one based on the encoding of the table contents in the database itself.
  • This tool seems pretty neat, but it it a 32 bits app. All my attempts to connect to PostgreSQL x64 failed, reporting an architecture mismatch between the driver (64) and the application, which is 32. I'm not too hopeful with regards to MySQL either. Help > Visit web site... sends us to www.kaimon.cl/contenido/software/odbc-query-tool/, which is a beautiful 404, same as checking for updates. It is easy to criticise apps that someone went to through the trouble to put together for free. If a next release of this fixes the 64 bits item, I'll raise it to 5 stars on the spot.

Hi! This app only works with 32-bit ODBC drivers, but you can connect without any problem to a 64-bit database engine using a 32-bit driver. I connect all the time to my 64-bit PostgreSQL server with this tool.
  • Does exactly what it supposed to do and does it fast with great error reporting and stability. Great job!

  • I used version 1.38 to test SSL and non SSL connections using MySQL ODBC x32 5.3.4 driver and MySQL 5.6.X x64 between a client and a server to see if the data was being encrypted (Looking at the data with WireShark 1.12.6) and the ODBC Query Tool worked perfectly. Simple to use and setup the connections.

  • For some reason, I could not get any query to work with PostgreSql or Mysql. There were no errors and no output. V1.3.0

Hi! Most connection errors are related to not having the correct ODBC driver for your database, not having the driver correctly configured, or not using the correct connection string. This app works just fine having all those checked and good to go. Perhaps you can try your ODBC connection with another tool to see if it is all OK? Also, keep in mind that, being a 32-bit app, it can only use 32-bit ODBC drivers.
