  • This rating is to say "Thank you!!" more than anything else. Having written some math functions for OpenOffice's Calc app, I can fully appreciate the blood, sweat, and tears that go into this type of development. So, Thank You!! for your time and efforts!
  • The year is 2020 and both Linux and Windows consoles does not support UTF-8.
  • It was very easy for me to transition from MATLAB. Great work!
  • Wonderful maths & engineering tools by such a great team ! Highly recommended. Should fund the teams to maintain such great tools being refinded continuously.
  • Ignore previous comment, after reading how to properly install this it is working wonderfully. Great job guys, made my life a lot easier not having to migrate to Matlab for image tools!
  • Good sh|t ... why pay for commercial product. I can prototype workflows, and convert them to fortran fairly quickly.
  • A free and open source software for engineering.
  • Pretty cool. I would appreciate a new, up to date version of dicom package though :) It's not compatible with GDCM 2.6.
  • Great collection of special functionality for GNU Octave
  • Good but not perfect
  • Best program ever Simple and efficient

  • Great project. Just completed a test period with 3.8.0 unofficial compiled with mingw gcc 4.8.1, 4.7.3 32/64 Recompiled the QT and some other speed critical parts with all optimizers on, some minor restructuring/tuning switches implied on the QT 4.8.4/the other src. The patched GUI runs like charm, outperforming Matlab by almost all means on all the hardware I've tested it on . Lacking some features, well I and many with me mostly interested in the usability of software often discard this "christmas tree technology" full with obstructing functionality

  • I used Octave extensively during a Machine Learning course run via the Coursera website. An excellent programming tool. Quality software and plenty of detailed information available for usage.

  • An excellent free alternative to Matlab, and it's great to have a current Windows-binary version.
