Starting the software To start, call the function START from the Matlab command line. On the interactive screen, choose the TPS system and the exported DVH file (only differential DVHs with volume and dose in absolute values). Put the exported DVH files in the NTCP calculator map. The choice of organ will give an appropriate choice of NTCP models and parameter sets for the calculation. After clicking the calculation button, the resulting NTCP will immediately appear in the text box. When it was chosen to use Gaussian subvolumes instead of the conventional rectangular building blocks the calculation can be somewhat longer. A graph depicting the DVH that was read from the file will also appear. Updating list of NTCP model parameters In the file FILL_MODEL_LIST.M new parameter sets can be introduced.
