  • A fantastic example of Open Source at its best!
  • Never had any problems with it. Highly recommended!
  • Its nice editor, really helpful for any programming language plus for normal text editing. I just wish NPP had a linux version.
  • I like it very much! Fast and easy to use.
  • I liked it, I recommend
  • Wish for a native linux gui :)
  • This is the way software is supposed to be!

  • Using this soft for the last 2 years. Best driver available.
  • Using this software for the last 2 years. Best driver available.
  • Daily use at work, particularly pleased multi-syntax and plugins. Thank you!
  • I started using NP++ for code, but now also prefer doing my typing in it too. It handles text better than Word does, at least in my opinion. I do still use Word, but mostly for the spell check and the grammar suggestions. Also Word seems to be able to compress text. If the document is more than 10 pages long, it will have a smaller file size in Word. It's too bad they had to go with a 4 syllable name. It's the only text editor I use, so I just call it Notepad. If I have to refer to the MS offering, I call it notepad minus minus. This program is amazing. Five stars out of five, two thumbs up, and a big thank you.
  • Not the most powerful software out there, gVim takes the cake on that one, but still a fantastic choice for text editing of all flavors. A lack of ridiculous unix customs also makes this in some ways an improvement.
  • Fast, easy, perfect!
  • Opens fast. Customizes most everything I want to customize. Stable. Unicode. Ties or beats TextPad in my personal checklist on 7 of the 9 most-important features.
  • The best and simple software to work with text! A++ ! And it's very quick. Thanks for free! :)
  • Excellent, but doesn't come as all in the box... you need to install some plugins, at least XBrackets Lite and Notepad #, which add autocompletion. Let's make this the best editor by improving PHP highlighting and hinting!!
  • I was trying almost all text editors but I've always returned to NP++. I stopped trying more...
  • Best text editor availible!, Incredible plugins (compare!!!), Cheers for User-Defined-Language!
  • When replacing text in multiple files (using replace option) sometimes it replaces the text with gibberish like: addhandler addressof a Example: 17 .php files and i want to replace the word "parasols" with "מגן שמש"(hebrew word). In all 17 files the word "parasols" (w/ one occurrence per file) is replaced by "addhandler addressof a" instead of the hebrew word. If the word "parasols" occurs more than 1 time per file the software only replaces the first occurrence with gibberish, the other occurrences are replaced by the hebrew word. I made the same test with english words onl.. same thing. All files are utf-8 without BOM. NOTE: This doesn't happen all the time You guys should fix this... Other than that this new version seems a bit faster loading big files.
  • The best light weight code editor for windows.
  • I don't always edit text files. But when I do, I prefer Notepad++. Don't code while thirsty my friends.
  • Lost window stability, when resized to small. It need sometimes minimize window for reprint document. Sometimes it better do not paste... Ok, great editor! Very usefull!

  • I prefer NP++ for editing XML files, because of its ability to handle large XML files at a more than acceptable speed. Also translation of XML files is very quick, so I use NP++ for testing XSLT as well. Great responding to feature requests! Column editing for instance has been approved a lot!
