NOOP v8.0.1
A solid fix update on top of the Liquid Metal launch. Eleven fixes across iPhone, Mac and Android, almost all of them straight from your reports on the board. No new UI to relearn, just things working the way they should. The redesign keeps evolving through your feedback, exactly as it always has.
Update from the Releases page, AltStore, or brew upgrade as usual.
Fixes
Your last night's stats stay put. After the early-morning day rollover, resting heart rate, HRV and breathing rate could blank to a dash under the "Last night" heading even though the data was there. They now carry over from the last night that actually recorded them, independent of whether a recovery score was calculated. This is the "updating removed my stats" report.
Rest stops freezing on an old number. When a night did not produce a fresh Rest score, Today and the Apple Watch could keep showing the last scored night as if it were today's, so Rest looked stuck while Charge and Effort moved. It now shows an honest "no scored night yet" state instead of a stale number. If your live WHOOP 5.0 nights are not getting a Rest score at all, that is a separate sleep-staging issue we are still chasing with logs. (#977, and the display half of [#931] / [#939])
The home-screen widget updates on its own. It only refreshed while the app was open, so a sync that finished in the background left yesterday's numbers on the widget. It now writes a fresh snapshot and reloads the widget the moment a background sync completes. Thanks ruedigermunz. (#980)
The Haptic Clock is readable again. The buzzes ran too close together to tell apart on the wrist. The silence between pulses, and between the digit groups, is wider now so you can feel the time cleanly. Thanks akoshumig-sketch. (#981)
Android stops looping on a strap that will not pair. A WHOOP 4.0 that connected and subscribed but never finished pairing could loop connect, drop, retry forever and drain the battery. It now gives up after a few tries, pauses auto-reconnect and shows the re-pair guide instead of hammering the strap. If you hit this, you will likely still need to re-pair (quit the official WHOOP app, forget the strap in Android Bluetooth settings, tap the band until it flashes blue, then Connect). Thanks julienranc. (#982)
Your imported nights show up as sleep. If you use NOOP without a strap and import from Health Connect (Fitbit and others), your sleep was being kept only as a nightly total, so the Sleep screen sat empty. It now stores the full sleep sessions with their stages, so imported nights appear like a normal night. Thanks Retsim. (#983)
The full-day heart-rate trend is one tap away. The whole-day view, with the sleep and activity bands marked, was still there but buried, so it looked like it had been removed in the redesign. Tapping the heart-rate card on Today now opens it directly. Thanks ck090. (#979)
Charging shows on the new Today screen. The redesigned Today only showed the strap battery percentage, not whether it was charging. There is now a bolt on the battery ring and a "Charging" label in the data-sources row, matching Settings, Mac and Android. Thanks djrBrasil. (#972)
Deep Timeline scrolls back three days. It was clamped to one day, so older heart rate was only reachable through the day-stepper. You can now drag left to scroll continuously back up to three days, at the right resolution. Thanks ryanbr. (#986)
Oura ring: two real data bugs. Blood-oxygen was being decoded wrong and could show impossible values around 223 percent; it now reads the true percentage. And a corrupt timestamp in a full history dump could bank a reading dated 1970 or far in the future; those are now rejected instead of stored. Both fixes landed on iPhone, Mac and Android. Thanks pipiche38. (#968)
Under the hood
- Lighter live decode. The streaming decode path no longer builds a debug-only hex string it never reads, so the 1 Hz live stream and the big history offloads do a little less work per frame. Thanks MrL0. (#969)
- Leaner daily scoring. The daily scoring pass skips a redundant per-day database lookup on the common single-strap setup. Byte-identical result, fewer reads. Thanks MrL0. (#970)
In the works, thanks to your PRs
A few community contributions we are reimplementing under the project for a following update, credited: a full German translation and a fix for the English-only first-run terms gate (eltomato89), an hourly rolling window on the Today heart-rate card (ryanbr), more Oura activity decoding (pipiche38), a redesigned per-stage sleep timeline (ryanAtriumAi), and finger-scrub readout on the heart-rate charts. Kept them open on the board so you can follow along.

Reports, logs and findings from pipiche38, ryanbr, Retsim, MrL0, akoshumig-sketch, julienranc, ruedigermunz, ck090, djrBrasil, and everyone who filed a clean bug report with a Test Centre export. That is what makes a fix update like this possible. Keep it coming on the board.
