    PHPNews is a great little script. I believe it started out life as AtomicPenguinNews, then PHPFreeNews and now PHPNews. I'm not sure if it is still in development. I have used it a couple of times over the years for now defunct website projects. It's what you need when you need a database backend and a news publishing system to integrate into an existing website without having to deploy a full-blown CMS such as Drupal or Joomla. There are many things that I wish it would do, but it is great for what it is. I appreciate all the development that has gone into it by whomever has contributed. Thanks. The main thing I wish I could do with it is to display news.php by category. As it is now, you can only list a category of headlines with the headline links linking to the full news.php list which has all news articles listed.
